Entry into New Horizons Preschool Lenah Valley is open to all children aged from 3 to 5 years. Enrolments are all-inclusive, covering the full 48 weeks of preschool operation during the calendar year.

New Horizons Preschool Lenah Valley is a stand alone program. We are unable to offer positions as ‘additional days’ for children already attending a school-based kindergarten.

Attendance Patterns

Preschool Enrichment Program

At New Horizons Preschool Lenah Valley, we believe that early childhood is a time of wonder that thrives on a gentle, balanced rhythm. To support young children’s energy, well-being, and connection with family, our programs are structured exclusively around intentional 2, 3, and 4-day attendance patterns. This deliberate pace thoughtfully supports a young child’s transition between home and early education.

Please note that New Horizons Preschool Lenah Valley does not offer full-time (5-day) enrolments. Families can choose from the following structured options:

• 2-Day Attendance: (Mondays to Tuesdays) or (Thursdays to Fridays)
  
• 3-Day Attendance: (Mondays to Wednesdays) or (Wednesdays to Fridays)
  
• 4-Day Attendance: (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays)
  

This intentional structure allows us to maintain a balanced, consistent flow in our classrooms, honouring the natural pace of childhood while creating a peaceful environment where deep learning, unhurried discovery, and meaningful connections can naturally unfold.

Connections Program

To deepen our commitment to a holistic, nature-based education, the optional school holiday programs offered in previous years have ceased. In their place, our Connections program is now fully integrated into our syllabus as a core part of the curriculum structure for all enrolled children. 

Our vision for Connections is to support children in developing agency, resilience, positive attitudes, values, and foundational skill sets within each learning block. By embedding this into our core curriculum, we proudly support each child’s right to fully immerse themselves in authentic connections to nature, an appreciation of the natural environment, their right to play, and their opportunity to access risk and challenge. 

Through Connections, we offer a continuous, enriching experience across all 48 weeks of operation that builds deep resilience, invites children to experience the vibrant reality of the natural world, and beautifully honours the natural pace of learning and discovery.
