Coming Home – 2026
2026 marks a defining chapter and a significant turning point for New Horizons Preschool Lenah Valley.
Following the decision to sell the Battery Point campus, our roadmap for the coming year is framed by a return to a stand-alone, flagship preschool. This intentional shift is far more than a ‘downsizing’ – it is an opportunity for transformation and a year of re-centering. It represents a strategic decision to refine our quality rather than simply manage it.
Our Inspiration & Identity
By centering our energy solely on Lenah Valley, we are embracing the opportunity to upgrade our service from an authentic place of renewed energy, excellence, deep intentionality, and a singular focus on our local community.
What matters … is the longing and the capacity to think differently, to listen to and work with different stories: and the passion, commitment, collaboration and sheer hard work of individuals and groups of individuals who want to tell a different story…” — Moss, 2014
As Founder, this is much more than a year of organisational restructuring; it is a homecoming. After 22 years of growth, challenges, and shared history, returning our full focus to the Lenah Valley preschool feels like a return to the heart of why we started New Horizons Preschool in 2004.
By choosing to step back from a multi-site operation, we have intentionally reclaimed the time and space to be truly present – to listen more deeply to our educators, to walk alongside our families, and to witness the daily wonder of the children in our care. We don’t just speak the language of Reggio Emilia; we live it through the relationships we have nurtured here for over two decades.
We are excited to draw on our history to tell this new, focused story – one where the safety, competence, and joy of every child remain our paramount consideration and our greatest inspiration.
